The Four Point Crown Fold
Pocket Square Folds / View All Folds
The Four Point Crown is similar to the Four Point Fold both in how it's created and how it looks, however, the key difference being the two peaks on either side are folded rather than flat to give it the 'crown' look.
The sophisticated nature of this fold lends itself well to more formal events such as a wedding or other special occasion. Simply choose a brightly coloured, square and set to work creating this aptly named regal fold.
Step 1.
Start by laying the pocket square out in front of you in a diamond shape. Then take the bottom point and fold it just to the right of the peak at the top. These two points with form the central points of the crown.
Step 2.
Then take the bottom right-hand corner and fold it up to the left of the first two point. The key difference between this fold and the four point is to have the points on either side folded rather than flat. More on this below.
Step 3.
Then take the bottom left-hand corner and fold it up to the right of the three other points, again looking to lay it down so the point is folded rather than flat.
Step 4.
Take the excess fabric on the left and fold to the centre.
Step 5.
Now take the excess fabric on the right and also fold to the centre, pressing down on it to keep it in place.
Step 6.
Now fold the long triangle at the bottom over twice to just under the points.
Step 7.
Then turn over and adjust the points, making sure that the two points on the side are folded inwards rather than flat.
Step 8.
Finally, place in your pocket, adjusting all the points until you get the 'crown' affect.
