Rembrandt's take on a military group portrait went against the norms of the time. Traditionally a static portrait, he chose to represent the characters in a state of motion, about to march off. His use of light draws the attention to the three main characters and creates a suspenseful artwork which is one of the most famous in the Rijksmuseum where it is held.

Our linings are presented as either a landscape with dimensions of 118x98cm, or a square 98x98cm. We also have a number of repeat pattern linings sold by the metre.

Our collection of silk linings include works from old masters such as Canaletto, Giordano, Turner and Rubens. We can also print linings bespoke to create truly one-of-a-kind jackets.
